AERRA HAZE is “Best of the Best” – awarded for outstanding design quality. AERRA HAZE by VALLONE® combines material contrasts with architectural clarity. The sculptural washbasin ensemble acts as a design metaphor, embodying perception and awareness – a diffusion that transitions into clear reflection. A reduced composition, honoured with the Red Dot Design Award 2026 “Best of the Best”.

Natural stone and stainless steel come together to form a calm, vertically oriented object. The design is “so self-evident at first glance – and derives a particular strength precisely from this quality. […] This quiet reduction is compelling while at the same time possessing an exceptional presence,” according to the Red Dot jury.

DESIGN

VALLONE® Design Team & Pierre Neirinckx

The precise alignment of basin, mirror, and tap creates a calm, reduced presence on the wall and establishes a clear visual order. The thin stainless steel sheet is hand-finished from matte brushed to high-gloss polished, creating a smooth transition from diffuse to clear reflection. The effect of the mirror remains subtle at first glance, creating a moment between function and perception.

AERRA and AERRA HAZE follow a design approach that does not resolve duality, but deliberately embraces it: cold and warm, technical and organic, horizontal and vertical. Contrasts in materiality give rise to design objects that move between visual and tactile perception.

AERRA TAP adds an intuitive, tactile dimension to the ensemble. The hydroprogressive tap controls water flow and temperature through a single, fluid movement, combining technical precision with a reduced formal language. As an integral part of AERRA HAZE, it integrates seamlessly into the overall architectural composition.

VALLONE® ATELIER understands space and object as a unified design expression. Its sculptural objects bring together materiality, function, and spatial impact. Contrasts are not resolved, but deliberately staged — precise, reduced, and defined by a distinct attitude.
